Will the Newfoundland/Labrador ferries be included in the Federal Transit tax credit program?

Beginning on July 1, 2006, the Government of Canada is offering individuals a non-refundable tax credit to cover the cost of public transit passes. If you have a public transit pass, make sure to read the questions and answers below.
1. What is the tax credit for public transit passes?
The tax credit for public transit passes is a non-refundable tax credit for the cost of buying a monthly (or longer duration) pass for commuting on buses, streetcars, subways, commuter trains and local ferries.

Do NL ferries even issue monthly or yearly passes?
Will NL ferries be eligible for this tax credit?
Does Marine Atlantic issue Monthly or yearly passes?
Will Marine Atlantic be eligible for this program?
While I'm on the topic of Marine Atlantic, why is it that our sons and Daughters serving in this country's military can't claim the cost of the Marine Atlantic Ferry crossing on their LTA Leave Travel Allowance for their one claimable trip home a year to visit their next of kin.
Just some food for thought, as I don't have the answers to these and many other questions concerning this Federal Tax Credit for public transit passes.
