Waseco to develop (Quebec Labrador Trough) Uranium

TORONTO, ONTARIO -- (MARKET WIRE) -- July 10, 2006 -- Waseco Resources Inc. (TSX VENTURE: WRI)(FRANKFURT: WSE) is pleased to report that it has entered into a Letter of Intent with UraMin Inc. to explore Waseco's Quebec Labrador Trough uranium properties.
These properties have been the subject of a multi-facetted geophysical campaign that was successful in identifying a number of uranium anomalies as well as possible kimberlitic, gold and base metal targets. By combining the historic geological and geochemical information with the newly acquired geophysical information, the company decided to stake additional contiguous claims. For further information, you are invited to visit the company's web site at www.wasecoresources.com where the January 2006 McPhar Geosurveys Report is posted.

I wonder why they included Labrador in this PR? From the map it would appear that all of their sites are in Quebec. Unless it is for the extraction route. No mention of it on the NL govt web site.
I stand corrected by WJM the Labrador patriot. As he so eloquently pointed out in the comments Labrador refers to the trough which is a geographical feature of the Uranium deposit.

I wonder why they included Labrador in this PR?
They didn't.
They included the Labrador Trough, which is a geological feature spanning two provinces.
They specified that it is the Quebec portion ("Quebec Labrador Trough uranium properties").
Labrador also has a geographical meaning that is broader than its political one, you know.

Thank-You for clarifying that for me. You never know with those sneaky Quebecers and complacent Ottawa what with the way they have redrawn their border with Labrador.
So what if they have? Guess what - the Constitution trumps any map that Quebec might put out, and the Labrador boundary is fixed in the Constitution.
Only those paranoid Newfoundlanders who are ignorant of the law, have anything to fear from Quebec and its maps.
When are those same Newfoundlanders going to do something about their OWN province's maps which often shrink Labrador or omit it altogether?
Hmmm??

complacent Ottawa
Should "complacent Ottawa" also force the colonialist government of Newfoundland to stop publishing maps which reduce or omit Labrador?
Why or why not?

Hey don't bitch at me I voiced my concerns about the map to the province.
Wanna see the letter I received back stating that the map wasn't big enough to put both Lab and Nfld on the same side.
Your preaching to the converted here, but it never hurts to bring the subject to the fore front.

1) It's not the highway map I'm concerned about.
2) You still didn't answer the question: should "complacent Ottawa" force the provincial government to change the way it portrays Labrador in many maps and publications?
Why or why not?

Which Provincial govt Quebec for misrepresenting the border with Labrador or NL for putting Labrador on the back of NL maps?
NL for lying about the true size and location of Labrador, when it includes Labrador in its maps at all.
What should Ottawa do about that?
