Read this and smoke it in your "Culture of defeat Pipe Mr Harper"
This Atlantica Proposal is so on the money it isn't even funny.
I've crossed the two border crossings in NB and they are both a joke.
The one at Calais is two lane and very prohibitive for maneuvering an 18 wheeler both before and after the Border.
The crossing at Houlton, (Woodstock turn off) while several lanes at the border the 50 km on the canadian side leading to the 4 lane divided highway on the US side isonly a back road two lane oncoming traffic narrow shoulder piece of crap. Not a national corridor for moving goods and services to the largest market within reach of Atlantic Canada.
Improving these border crossing access roads should be a number one priority for us culture of defeatist Atlanticans.
Well worth the read this Atlantica stuff.

Interesting that they exclude Labrador from the concept.
One more reason, apart from geography and natural tendencies, that Labrador and Quebec need to develop transport and trade links.

Bout time you actually came out with your agenda instead of beating around the bush trying to pretend you actually have the best interests of the Province in mind.
Your one and only issue is to have Labrador become a colony of Canada to be used and abused for the remainder of time.
We know how good Quebec and Canada has been to Newfoundland and Labrador.
Now Ottawa knows the tides are changing so they are trying to divide and conquer by throwing cookie crumbs at Labrador. Never a real plan to bring Labrador out of oppression just enough to keep the natives silent or in a drunken stupor right.
Personally I would love to see Labrador prosper and even become it's own province but I would hate to see it become a colony of Ontario and Quebec to be used and abused like has happened in the past.

What's wrong with my agenda?
Labrador is right next door to Quebec, and has extensive trade relations with Quebec. Labrador can prosper by building that trade, instead of relying solely on economic links with Newfoundland.
Does that threaten you?
Don't you want to see Labrador have a diverse and prosperous economy?
Quebecer's money is just as green as anyone else's you know.

What has Quebec done to raise your ire?

You don't seem to mind Labrador being a colony in principle, as long as it's a colony of Newfoundland.
