Thunder Flash Warning Afghanistan

Dear elected officials

I was thinking what with the recent killing of a local civilian in Afghanistan by our peace makers that maybe if we used Thunder flashes instead of warning shots it might be more effective and less dangerous to the local population in warning them that they are too close.

Seeing as these warning shots have to be done in a crowded urban enviorment the sound could be lost amongst the mufflerless loud two stroke engines and hustle and bustle of traffic but a Thunder flash would be louder and safer to deploy.

Just in case you don't know what a Thunder Flash is. It is a stick similar to a flare that is used in training to simulate a grenade. I think the timer is similar in timing to a standard grenade somewhere in the region of 5-6 seconds. While there is no immediate danger from a T flash is can cause damage if used in a confined space or held onto when it goes off.

Regards

PS: this image isn't of a canadian T flash but is very similar except for the color.
Comments:
i heard it's a great device for salmon poaching also.throw it in the salmon pool and BAM ! the salmon float to the top.

Nah doesn't work worth a dam if it doesn't go out all together.
You might be thinking of Arty Sims they have more punch and use time fuse as an initiator.

I was thinking that T Flashes might not be the best alternative. It might be sen as a bit to agressive and in a country where nerves are shot and trigger fingers Hair it could be seen as agressive. But certainly alot less agressive than killing people thats for sure as a warning.

There is also the option of Paint ball guns or water guns. I've never heard or seen anything like it but maybe the trail vehicle could have some sort of tire buster tire spikes pulled along behind it.

Wouldn't the troops like that to have paint ball guns to splatter windows of vehicles that get to close as a warning shot.

I also haven't seen their warning signs but if they are anything like the ones they use for training student drivers. Some idiots might actually try and get close enough to read them LOL OOPs too late.

Kinda like those bumper stickers that say if you can read this your are following to close!

Almost forgot Mega phones with prerecorded message GET BACK in Afgany of course.
