Does anyone know where this film can be rented or bought?"Home in St. John's, after too many years in Montreal, history student Frieda Vokey involuntarily slips deep into the maze of mystery and intrigue that surrounds the joining of Newfoundland to Canada in 1949. Her father, Lester, part of the Great Debate then, is strangely uncommunicative with Frieda. Finding the truth becomes a quest which involves a daring late-night archival break-in which is perhaps itself a metaphor for Frieda's entrance into the labyrinth of her own psyche. Scary stuff, but Frieda's mother, Oona, is always there helping to ensure that the truth will out."

Unfortunately, this film is much much too rare. I have a very rough copy. I wish they would re-release this -- along with a sound track featuring the Thomas Trio "nation" song. . .

I did see that it is available at the NFB as a commercial version 50$. I contacted them and am waiting for a reply.
