Bog mining project for Stephenville

http://www.peatresources.com/

While not what I had in mind or recommended it is a start towards diversification.

It would seem this form of Peat mining is to make something similar to wood pellets used in wood pellet stoves.

Who knows maybe they can excavate the bog in such a manner than the excaated depression could be used for bog farming of Cran berries and such once they are done with the peat?

Or if they were smart they could excavate a pond or lake from the bog then build a seniors complex around the pond lake. Boy talk about your value added land. Buy some bog land excavate the peat moss for sale as peat pellets then turn around and develop a seniors community complex around the lake you just created! They do this all the time in the States big time money makers.

Anyway all the best to Stephenille with this initiative.

Now if the government would just link up Buchans/Badger with Stephenville via the Red Indian lake road Stephenville would have a real fighting chance as well as NL.

OH lets not forget the remaining 5 km separating Bucans from Howley!
