Food Fishery Protest

Objective

Challenge the terms of union http://www.solon.org/Constitutions/Canada/English/nfa.html
Highlight Canada’s mismanagement of our resource on our behalf
-by bartering away our resources in the form of quotas to the foreign fleets in return for trading incentives for Upper Canada.
-Put pressure on Canada to lobby on our behalf the United Nations to give us control of the entire Continental shelf. (Nose and tail Flemish cap)
-Sign Petition to the Federal Gov. to Enact Custodial Management on the Nose and Tail of the Grand Banks
http://www.petitiononline.com/itfc2/petition.html
-Challenge 3 mile limit as set out in

Solidarity, publicity, and fund raising.

Everyone can show their solidarity of the plight of our fishermen and heritage, if the illegal fish that were caught were cooked up on the wharf or town hall upon return and shared with anyone who wants to show up and express their solidarity, by sharing in a feed of illegally caught fish and brews.

The media could be invited to share in this cook up of fish and brews thus gaining further media coverage to the plight of our fisherman and heritage.

Funds could be raised on behalf of the brave men and women who are willing to break the law for the legal proceedings to follow. By either donations or a nominal fee for having a feed of fresh fish and brews.

Fish could be donated to old age homes hospitals etc
Be forewarned this is illegal fish and by eating it you are breaking the law! Or challenging terms of union and Canada’s mismanagement of our resource on our behalf.

Show solidarity with Harbour Breton sign a petition to get back quota from Fisheries Products International corporate bottom line crawlers.
Fair Deal For Harbour Breton

Evidence

If the DFO are going to challenge our brave protesters by either ramming boats or threatening people with charges if they don’t cooperate by ratting out fellow protesters.

Where were they when the foreign trawlers were decimating the nose and tail?

This all needs to be documented and compiled into one data base (Names, Dates, times, DFO officer’s names and badge numbers) for future use in the defence of the brave protesters.

Video tape, camera pictures
Makes for great memories, maybe you’ll even get on funniest home videos. If nothing else you’ll have a great home movie.

The premier could even be invited to eat the illegal fish LOL

Suggestions:
Open a fishery for tourists
Not much different that the outfitters for hunting. Requires licensing safety and such.
IE: take a tourist out for an hour two what ever it takes to get a Cod
50$ hour per person group rates 100$ party of 4

You get the idea
