Biofuel from wood chips

Now with the world prices of oil at an all time high and the market for wood products at an all time low this is worth looking into IMHO. Hey if farmers can get government support by legislating 5% ethanol from grain crops whay can't we get legislation or seed money to develop something like this. Diversification and future looking.

Shell, in partnership with Canadian biotech firm Iogen Corp., has developed "cellulose ethanol", which is made from the wood chips and non-food portion of renewable feedstocks such as cereal straws and corn stover, and can be blended with gasoline. Ethanol is typically extracted from sugarcane or grain.

I would even suggest looking into creating biofuel from Hemp because it is supposed to be a fast growing weed that has good fibrous properties.

With break throughs like this, it is all the more imperative that we in NL insist on developing refining capacity in the hopes that it can be converted to produce biofuels. if and when the time arrives.
No Joey deals though feasibility and diverse investment to mitigate any unexpected eventualities.
Lets not put all of our eggs in the same basket ever again.
Comments:
Not gonna happen under Danny Williams' communistic government where "We own the wood chips".
