It occurred to me on a recent trip home.
That Airlines and hotels have government rates or perks to appreciate veterans.
IE: Airlines waive the checked baggage fees for veterans and hotels give veterans government rates.
To my knowledge the only veteran appreciation our government/nation/population has for veterans is the lowered fees for the ferry crossing to Newfoundland Labrador?
Correct me if i"m wrong but Canadians just aren't very appreciative of the sacrifices veterans have made or make?
